LOUIS H. MIZEL, Jr.—Waterman, ILL.

Private, 1st Class, Co. C., 43d Inf., A. E. F. in Siberia; born Nov. 23, 1894 at Leland, Ill; son of Louis and Mary Mizel; entered service May 2, 1918, at Sycamore, Ill.; transferred to Jefferson Barracks, to Camp Fremont; overseas in August, 1918; died, Oct. 28, 1918, in Siberia, of pneumonia. The rigors of the terrific climate of Siberia were too much for Private Mizel, who was with the other DeKalb county boys in the expedition to hold the American property on the Siberian front. He fell victim to the strange climate and died in the northern hospital after a short illness.
